Exploring the Rhineland: Journey from Köln to Aachen 

If you’re looking for a memorable train journey that brings you through the cultural heart of Germany, the ride from Köln (Cologne) to Aachen is the perfect excursion. Make sure to spend a bit of time here before the Regional Express continues on its way, over the Sieg River before arriving at Gummersbach, a town renowned for its culture and nature. 

Finally, you’ll reach the destination of Aachen, one of the oldest cities in Germany. Here you will find the iconic Aachen Rathaus (town hall) in the centre of the old town, surrounded by an array of bars, cafes and boutiques.
