Take the Train from Lyon to Geneva: A Quick Trip Across France, Switzerland and the Rhône Valley! 

Travelling by train from Lyon to Geneva is an easy and comfortable way of getting to know some of the most beautiful places in France. The journey by train takes around 2 hours, as it covers a distance of about 150 kilometres. You will pass through some of the most important cities and towns in the Rhône Valley and also cross the border into Switzerland. During the trip, you will be able to admire the stunning views of the countryside. 

The trip will start at Lyon, one of France's most visited cities, a place full of history and culture. From there, you will make your way to Villefranche-sur-Saône, a charming town settled on the left bank of the Saône River. The last stop before crossing the border into Switzerland will be Bellegarde-sur-Valserine, where you can admire the amazing mountains of the Valserine Valley. 

Once you cross the border, you will arrive in Annemasse, a town located on the Swiss/French border right next to Geneva, where the Rhône River flows in two directions. Finally, you will arrive in Geneva, located at the southwestern end of Lake Geneva.
